The three shutter ranges, and what each is for

Böss Strong for spans, Böss S-Bright for daylight, Boss Elegant for finish. The three ranges answer three different questions about the same opening.

The shutter range splits three ways, and the split is by what the opening needs rather than by price.

Böss Strong is the wide-span range: CD.140NT, CD.100, CD.80 and BO.90A, closing the openings on factories, depots, hydro plant and vehicle bays. These are the sections where the specification is about load and fixing rather than appearance.

Böss S-Bright is the daylight range. The slat is drawn to pass as much light as an aluminium curtain can while keeping its section stiff — a shopfront that has to look open when it is shut.

Boss Elegant is the finish range, where the colour and the face profile are the specification. It exists because a shutter on a street elevation is part of the elevation, and a standard light grey is not always the right answer.
